I couldn't check in for my flight online. When I went in person the morning of, all of the bag tag machines were broken, causing a line out the door since a flight was leaving in the next 30 minutes. And even when I went to return my car nobody was at the desk. There's a spot that said drop the keys off and write down your mileage, fuel, etc but nothing to write on. And then to top it all off, at 4pm not a single person at the ONE service desk. Nobody working security. I asked the one employee I could find and he just shrugged and said he couldn't help. Meanwhile waiting in the parking lot, an employee comes out the back door carrying her dog and another employee has a child running through the building. None of the parking area is shoveled from snow. I've been to a few small local airports, and this one is deplorable by all standards.

Small old local airport, but the only option for certain airlines to get to the area. The baggage claim is a small separate building and was barely large enough to hold everyone on our half full flight. If you can't find a spot to stand inside the building to wait for your luggage you have to wait outside in the weather. The terminal is also small and only one flight at a time can go through security and there is only room for one flight outside of security. They do have a TSA pre-check line which hardly anyone used for our flight. All of the airline and TSA staff were friendly and helpful.

I’m editing my review because it’s not fair the the staff of Pullman’s airport to blame them for Alaska Airlines failing. That being said, it’s the only commercial airline flying out of PUW today so that doesn’t help. When the new terminal is done I hope for some competition. It is a bummer though that the only vending machine passed security (since you can’t bring liquids in) has been broken for my last three flights with a frustrated line of people backed up behind it each time. Edit: I flew out last week and the vending machine is indeed fixed. When you have no other options, it really does mean a lot to people and families trying to fly out. Alaska used to do drink service (including free beer or wine!) on the PUW to SEA flight but now it's just water or instant coffee. The ability to grab a drink for a 5am flight is a pretty big deal. Adding a star back, but re-focusing on how excited I am for the new terminal.

Want to experience what would it be like to land at a tiny airport in Africa - But not have to worry about security? Want to experience what would it be like going through an airport that's literally two-rooms big? Pullman is for you! Jokes aside, this airport is so tiny it's hard to believe you're still in the US. But once there, you'd be pleasantly surprised at the polite, provincial air of the place. Staff is nice and friendly. Getting to and fro can be a challenge if you don't have your own car because the airport is in the middle of nowhere. So work on that before touching down. Also, it's a tiny airport. Only small, rotary-winged, lark-like aircraft serve the airport. If that's something you want to enjoy - Go for it. If that's something you're afraid of - Well, you're in it for a good one! Cheers!

You expect some level of inconvenience from an airport but this one is a cut below. I went to check my bag only to find the front desk empty. The rental car employee told me they were all busy checking people into the upcoming flight. What am i supposed to do? I ended up boarding the plane without my bag and having a friend pick it up. I know multiple people who have had the same problem. Why not hire an extra attendee so all positions can be filled? Its the worst experience ive had at an airport without a doubt.
